You know, I'm one of the three hundred odd thousand people who watch CNN when something is not blowing up. The constant drum beat of beating retreat in the face of the enemy is a constant refrain (they use politer words). But if there is such a groundswell of "popular opinion" against defeating the savages then why has it not ended?
