Settled on a Shar-Pei/Akita mix named Luda. A great mix of Japan and China. Tempraments match up and he looks to be a good dog. But the name, well, according to my wife, "luda" means woman in russian.
So we're going to rename him "Louis Girdley Wu."

An addition to the family.
So, the wife and I went to the local animal shelter a picked out a dog. It's pretty disheartening walking through a shelter. You kind of want to take them all home. Including this cute chocolate Lab named Latte. Good news is that the shelter was doing a brisk business on a Thursday, and the dog we finally settled on has to wait until Sunday to get the snip-snip. We go get him on Monday.
